As the COVID impacted restrictions became stringent and social mobility got disrupted, it became imperative to look out for innovative means to protect the health and wellbeing of the families networking with us. Agriculture, if undertaken by adopting proven techniques of disease control, and production enhancement, even under limited situations like tiny land holdings, promised to be a dependable source of food security to a small family. The distribution of vegetable seedlings was carried out in collaboration with the World Malayalee Federation During the reporting year, we provided online training to100women in practical aspects of grow bag farming. After the training the women were provided quality planting materials, 25 grow bags, and organic fertilizers. Our trainers and experts followed it with monthly visits to the Units to give on the spot farm tips and guidance in realizing high output. Majority of the participants reported exciting yields, a great step towards ensuring family food security. The women farmers grew beans, different gourds, tubers, yam, eggplant, okra, etc. Which helped support the family achieves the goal of food security significantly.
